The Gigi long melange wool and cashmere coat is made from high-quality, soft fabric featuring a beautiful, irregular pattern. This means that no two coats are dyed exactly the same. It fastens with a double-breasted placket featuring colour-coordinated buttons. The buttons are like well-chosen jewellery: sometimes they should be visible, at other times they serve merely as a functional accessory. In this coat, the main feature is the interesting and unique colour of the fabric. This design is very minimalist, giving it a timeless and elegant look. An exclusive range. The coat is fitted at the back and contoured at the front, with no additional darts – it flows over the figure, emphasising its best features whilst ensuring comfort. Classic shoulder line and a turn-down collar with lapels. The raised collar provides protection from the wind. A removable belt, made from the same fabric, can be tied to accentuate the waist. The belt looks just as good tied at the back, showcasing the coat’s clean lines. Two side pockets finished with a flap. Mid-calf length. No fly. The coat is fully lined, including the sleeves. Refined down to the smallest detail, it’s perfect for the winter season and you can easily create all sorts of looks with it. It all depends on your style, preferences and imagination. A dress, knee-high boots, a hat and the Gigi coat – and your outfit is complete. Add some insulated trainers and a soft scarf, and you’re ready for a walk with the dog. A stylish waistcoat, comfortably cut fabric trousers, loafers – and your office outfit is sorted.
We designed and sewed the Gigi long melange wool and cashmere coat from start to finish in our family-run workshop. For over 37 years, we have been working in accordance with the principles of sustainability and promoting traditional Polish craftsmanship. Laying out the fabric by hand allows us to ensure the pattern matches perfectly across the coat’s panels and minimises waste. Thanks to our commitment to traditional tailoring, you receive a product crafted with the utmost precision and the passion we put into our daily work. Material: virgin wool 97%, cashmere 3%
Lining: 100% acetate
Like viscose, acetate is produced from cellulose. Acetate yarn can also be made from recycled cellulose such as paper. The acetate lining is excellent at absorbing moisture and allowing air to pass through, so it provides thermal comfort and wears well. It is coated with an antistatic apprette and is OEKOtex® Standard 100 certified.
Insulation: 100% non-woven recycled polyester
Our coats are insulated with a compressed thermo-insulating quilted fleece on the lining. The fleece is made from recycled polyester fibres. The material is lightweight, thin and at the same time perfectly insulating. The insulating fleece we use is resistant to moisture (it retains its insulating properties and warming effect even in damp conditions), stops the wind, is hypoallergenic and breathable. It is OEKOtex® Standard 100 certified.
The coat should be dry-cleaned. For frequent refreshing of the wool we recommend the following Brush for cleaning and care of the coat, which can be purchased in our shop. With a few simple care steps, you will enjoy your coat far longer, while reducing waste and thus taking care of the environment. We also encourage you to read our advice on proper care: How to care for and maintain coats?
Individual order - Some modifications can be made at the client's request: shortening, lengthening of the sleeve, shortening and lengthening of the coat. Cost to be determined individually, after prior contact.
An individual order is not subject to exchange or refund.
The lead time depends on current stock levels at the workshop and the availability of the required fabric colour. If the coat is already made, the order will be processed very quickly, within 2–5 working days. If a new coat needs to be made or the order requires customisation – such as alterations or the creation of a new coat to the customer’s specifications – the lead time may be extended to a maximum of 2 weeks.
Please bear with us – in most cases, we do not produce items for stock, and making a coat requires time and precision. However, we will do our utmost to ensure that your coat reaches you as soon as possible. Thank you for being with us for the past 36 years and for supporting local craftsmanship.
