We made the trench coat in maxi length, made from a thick, high-quality cotton fabric with a distinctive diagonal weave. Its distinctive texture gives the coat an elegant look, whilst ensuring that the cut retains its shape. We have finished the inside breathable lining, whilst the front panels of the coat have been further reinforced with a delicate stabilising interfacing. This gives the trench coat an elegant, refined construction.
When designing Matilde, we drew inspiration from the aesthetic of British Core – a style that combines classic design, functionality and timeless elegance. We wanted to create a coat that wouldn’t just be a seasonal trend, but would become one of those wardrobe staples you’ll reach for year after year.
Classic details with a modern twist
Matilde long cotton trench coat for women retains all its distinctive features iconic style. It has a collar with lapels, raglan sleeves, epaulettes on the shoulders and decorative stripes on the sleeves. The double-breasted button fastening emphasises the coat’s classic style, whilst the buttons also serve as a subtle decorative feature. On the front and back there are decorative capes, finished with buttons. Two side pockets enhance the trench coat’s functionality without detracting from its elegant silhouette.
Despite its length, the trench coat remains comfortable to wear. Back fly It allows for freedom of movement and ensures that the coat’s long silhouette drapes beautifully as you walk.
Matilde long cotton trench coat for women is tied with a strap, which allows you to change the look of the coat however you like. Tied at the waist, it will emphasise your figure and give it a balanced silhouette. However, you can also tie the belt at the back, leaving the front to fall loosely. It’s a simple way to achieve a more nonchalant, contemporary look.
How should I wear it?
Stone beige It gives the classic trench coat a slightly more contemporary feel. It’s subtle and neutral, yet less obvious than traditional beige. It looks great with black, white, cream, greys and all shades of brown. It offers endless styling possibilities. Paired with black trousers and leather ankle boots, it creates an elegant, urban look. With a cream jumper and wide-leg trousers, it takes on a soft, minimalist feel, whilst when paired with jeans, it takes on a more casual vibe.

Matilde long cotton women’s trench coat – stone beige It has a carefully crafted cut that flatters the figure whilst ensuring comfort and a roomy fit, allowing you to wear it with a jumper or a jacket. The raglan sleeve construction ensures freedom of movement, whilst additional darts shape and accentuate the figure. You can also tie it with a belt for a better fit. Individual order - Some modifications can be made at the client's request: shortening, lengthening of the sleeve, shortening and lengthening of the coat. Cost to be determined individually, after prior contact. An individual order is not subject to exchange or refund.
The order processing time depends on current stock levels in the workshop and the availability of the specific colour of fabric. If a particular coat is available ‘off the rack’, the order will be processed very quickly, within 2–5 working days. If a new coat needs to be made or the order requires customisation – such as alterations or the creation of a new coat to the customer’s specifications – the order processing time may be extended to a maximum of 2 weeks.
