The Verona vintage-style women’s houndstooth transitional coat is our latest offering for spring and autumn. We designed it drawing inspiration from past decades, whilst giving it a modern twist. Hence the minimalist, slightly looser fit, subtle details (delicate cuffs on the sleeves), soft fabric and gentle shoulder line. To enhance the effect, we’ve opted for a timeless herringbone pattern in this year’s most fashionable colour: mocha. The herringbone pattern is very subtle and will also appeal to those who prefer muted colours and patterns. The coat fastens with a double-breasted placket featuring hand-sewn buttons. It ties at the waist for a better fit. Two functional side pockets, finished with a trim. A lapel collar with slimming V-shaped flaps. Knee-length – ensuring you feel light and comfortable. A vent at the back. This is a relaxed (but not oversized) cut, giving the silhouette a laid-back look.
When you choose the Verona vintage-style women’s between-seasons coat, you can be sure that this cut will go perfectly with a wide range of items in your wardrobe. It’ll allow you to effortlessly create elegant, versatile and comfortable outfits. A well-tailored coat, with a timeless design and a classic colour, is not just a seasonal accessory but a staple that will enhance the beauty of your outfit.

The Verona vintage-style women’s houndstooth transitional coat is a slightly looser-fitting design due to its raglan sleeves. However, it is not heavily oversized, and the excess fabric has been minimised through the use of shaping darts. It will, however, accommodate a jumper or a jacket. Ideal for women with strongly defined shoulders. We have provided guidance on the choice of cut on our website, under the tab How do you choose a coat to suit your figure?
We’ve made the Verona vintage-style women’s houndstooth transitional coat from a high-quality, lighter-weight wool blend. It’s therefore perfect for when, after winter, you want to wear a light outer layer that still keeps you cosy in cooler breezes. It is fully lined, which provides additional warmth and makes it very comfortable to wear. A great and stylish alternative to the classic trench coat.
Material: 70% virgin wool, 30% polyamide
Lining: 50% acetate, 50% viscose
Like viscose, acetate is produced from cellulose. Acetate yarn can also be made from recycled cellulose such as paper. The acetate lining is excellent at absorbing moisture and permeable to air. It is coated with an antistatic apprettee and is OEKOtex® Standard 100 certified.
The coat should be dry-cleaned. However, you can take care of it on a day-to-day basis by using the following products offered in our shop Brushes for cleaning and care of the coat. We also recommend airing your coat regularly and hanging it on a specially contoured hanger. By looking after your coat, you’re also helping to protect the environment, which is why in the tab How to nurture and care for the coat? we have included tips on how to extend the life of your coat.
Individual order – We make all our coats in our family-run workshop, which is why we can carry out certain alterations at the customer’s request, such as shortening or lengthening the sleeves, or shortening or lengthening the coat itself. We determine the cost on a case-by-case basis, after assessing the scope of the work following prior contact.
An individual order is not subject to exchange or refund.
The order fulfilment time depends on our current stock levels and the availability of the specific colour of fabric. If the coat in question is in stock at our workshop, the order will be fulfilled very quickly – within 2–5 working days. If the coat needs to be made to order or customised – whether this involves alterations or making a new coat to the customer’s specifications – the order fulfilment time may be extended to a maximum of 2 weeks.
The Verona vintage-style women’s between-seasons coat is our own original design, and we make it in our family-run workshop. We have been practising this craft for over 37 years and make our coats using traditional methods; for this reason, we do not produce coats for stock. We therefore ask for your patience whilst you wait for your order to be fulfilled, as we need to make this coat especially for you.
