HOW DO YOU CHOOSE THE RIGHT SIZE OF COAT?<\/h1>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

A size chart is provided for each model. The cut of the coat has a significant impact on the measurements associated with a particular size. Therefore, sizes in one style are not always the same as sizes in another style.<\/p>

To choose the right size, please refer to the size chart provided for each model and select the size that best matches your measurements. The measurements provided refer to body measurements, but they also take into account the specific cut of each model and the fact that a coat or jacket is an outer garment under which other items of clothing must fit.\u00a0 Size charts may vary between different brands, so it is best to choose your size based solely on your own measurements.<\/p>

If you\u2019re not sure about your sizes, you can easily take your basic measurements yourself. This will help you find the right size coat or jacket for you. If you\u2019re still unsure, we\u2019ll be happy to help.<\/p>

It is best to take your measurements whilst standing, using a tailor\u2019s tape measure or a soft paper tape measure.\u00a0If you don\u2019t have a tape measure, you can simply use a piece of string and then measure it against a flat tape measure (after marking the distance on the string). Never measure yourself with a flat tape measure or a ruler.<\/p>

It\u2019s best to try things on whilst wearing clothes. A coat or jacket is worn as an outer layer, under which a blouse, jumper or trousers must fit. It\u2019s also worth remembering that you should feel comfortable in a coat or jacket. However, we do not recommend buying coats and jackets that are too big. Sometimes it\u2019s better, for example, to move the buttons to gain a centimetre or two in the circumference than to choose a larger size. With some styles, such minor adjustments are possible.<\/p>

A coat or jacket should emphasise the best features of your figure whilst concealing any imperfections, which generally comes down to balancing out any disproportionate areas. The right effect can easily be achieved through the cut, style and a properly chosen size. We\u2019d be happy to advise you.<\/p>

When it comes to coats and jackets, the two most important measurements are the bust and hip circumferences. These are the measurements you should primarily use to choose your size. Waist measurement is a secondary consideration, as you can always accentuate your waist further with a belt.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

BUST CIRCUMFERENCE<\/b>\u00a0\u2013 We measure the circumference at the centre of the chest.<\/p>

WAIST CIRCUMFERENCE<\/b>\u00a0\u2013 measure the circumference at the narrowest part of the waist, roughly at the level of the navel<\/p>

HIP CIRCUMFERENCE<\/b>\u00a0\u2013 Measure the widest part below the waist, roughly halfway down the buttocks.
To take an accurate measurement, place the tape measure around the top of your hips and then gently slide it downwards. As you do this, loosen the loop of the tape measure so that it slides down easily. The correct place to take the measurement is where the circumference is at its widest.<\/p>

The table also includes additional measurements such as: the overall length of the coat, the sleeve length and the shoulder width.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

TOTAL LENGTH OF THE COAT<\/strong>\u00a0It is measured along the centre of the back, from the nape of the neck downwards.<\/p>

ARM LENGTH<\/strong>\u00a0It is measured from the point where the sleeve is sewn in (the shoulder seam) downwards, along the outside of the arm held alongside the torso.<\/p>

ARM WIDTH<\/strong>\u00a0It is measured along the back, from where one sleeve is sewn in to where the other sleeve is sewn in (in the case of a classic set-in sleeve).\u00a0<\/p>
